                         Obesity

Obesity is a condition where the body disproportionately accumulates excess fat due to the absorption of more calories than are burned. Body mass index (BMI) is a standard metric to determine whether a person’s body weight is normal, low, or high for his/her height. A person with a BMI greater than or equal to 25 is overweight. On the other hand, a person with a BMI greater than or equal to 30 is obese.
